I am in the clearance process of sorting out the affairs of my Fathers house, who recently passed away in Kelso. I am going to need his house cleared and cleaned.
My main difficulty is that I don’t live in the UK so am just wondering how a house clearance service could accept payment for the work. I live in France, so with having different currency, it always puts an extra fee onto what I need to pay in bank commission and currency conversion.
For this reason, I was wondering if anyone has used a house clearance company in Kelso or surrounding areas that were able to send an invoice to and be paid directly from the deceased person’s estate?

Hi Jackson, sorry to hear about the loss of your father. A few months ago my gran sadly passed away, unfortunately I was unable to get the time off work to fly to the U.K. for the house clearance process.
I used a company called Northern House Clearance. They were a very efficient company who kept me updated via email through the whole clearance process, they sent photographs of the house once it was cleared also.
At the end of the Clearance they sent me an email with a copy of my invoice which I was able to pay using my grans funds once they were released. They also sent me a receipt via email once I had paid the invoice.
The house was located in Greenlaw – Scottish Borders.
