Hello, I am trying to find information for a reputable house clearance company who can clear an extremely cluttered and hoarded house in Lewisham.
I have had a tenant living in my property for over ten years, he sadly passed away last month and due to having no immediate family, I need to arrange for the clearance to be carried out.
I have phoned a few house clearance companies in the Lewisham area and none of them will take on the job due to how cluttered it is, can you recommend someone?
The house is a two bedroom detached with a small garage to the side and there is a driveway for parking the van on.
The tenant must have been a hoarder as the house is unlike any I have seen before, every room apart from the living room is piled waist height with rubbish, clutter and boxes of junk, there is also more than the standard amount of furniture in every room.
The living room is where he must have lived, there is a single reclining bed and mattress, a three seated sofa, an armchair and a large sideboard, there is a small amount of clutter and piles of newspapers lying around.
I can’t get into most rooms so can not give a more detailed description, there are multi packs of fizzy pop, boxes of junk and piles of newspapers barricading the hallways.
Can anyone help?
I have found it difficult to do the clearance myself due to work commitments, it would take me a lot longer in my little van to clear the house than it would a professional house clearance company.
I would appreciate the company to carry a waste carriers license and be fully insured to undertake the job.

Good Afternoon Mick, Last year I was faced with having to clear my three bedroom bungalow and garage in Lewisham after a tenant passed away leaving the house extremely cluttered.
I too had been knocked back by a few house clearance companies or had been quoted over twelve grand for them to do it.
I consulted with AFTA and came across The Cluttered House Clearance Company, I called Tiffany at head office who made me feel at ease straight away, she explained how they work and gave me a fair quote which never changed.
I managed to book an appointment in for the same week and the team arrived on time to begin the job.
The bungalow had been packed with boxes piled to the ceiling, even the kitchen had junk covering the bench tops, I couldn’t access two of the bedrooms and the team had to remove the doors in order to enter.
It took two days to completely clear the bungalow and garage.
On the first day the team cleared the living room, kitchen and dining room, whilst clearing the clutter they managed to sort a large amount to donate to charity, and a large amount of unopened food got donated to the local food bank in Lewisham.
On the second day the team cleared all three bedrooms and the garage, in one of the bedrooms, the bed had been piled to near the ceiling with old newspapers and magazines, this all went to the appropriate recycling center.
The guys were very professional and made the whole two days stress free for me, I now have a new tenant living in the bungalow and do yearly checks to make sure it never gets like this again.

We have a member that is fully licensed with the UK Environment Agency and also fully insured to undertake the clearance of hoarded and cluttered houses.
